PROPHECIES RESPECTING
CHRIST:
1) As the Son of God:
Ps 2:7 ¶ I will declare the
decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I
begotten thee.
1a) Fulfilled:
Lu 1:32 He shall be great, and shall be called the
Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his
father David:
Lu 1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy
Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee:
therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the
Son of God.
2) As the seed of the woman:
Ge 3:15
And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her
seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
2a) Fulfilled:
Ga 4:4 But when the fulness of the time was come,
God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the
law,
3) As the seed of Abraham:
Ge 17:7 ¶ And I
will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their
generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed
after thee.
Ge 22:18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be
blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.
3a) Fulfilled:
Ga 3:16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the
promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy
seed, which is Christ.
4) As the seed of Isaac:
Ge
21:12 And God said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of
the lad, and because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee,
hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall thy seed be called.
4a) Fulfilled:
Heb 11:17 By faith Abraham, when he was tried,
offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only
begotten son,
Heb 11:18 Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy
seed be called:
Heb 11:19 Accounting that God was able to raise
him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a
figure.
5) As the seed of David:
Ps 132:11 ¶ The
LORD hath sworn in truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the
fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne.
Jer 23:5 Behold, the days come,
saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King
shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the
earth.
5a) Fulfilled:
Ac 13:23 Of this man's seed hath God according to
his promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus:
Ro 1:3 Concerning his
Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the
flesh;
6) His coming at a set time:
Ge 49:10 The
sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until
Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people
be.
Da 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy
holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make
reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to
seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
Da 9:25 Know
therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to
restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven
weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the
wall, even in troublous times.
6a) Fulfilled:
Lu 2:1 ¶ And it came to pass in those days, that
there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be
taxed.
7) His being born of a virgin:
Isa 7:14
Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall
conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
7a) Fulfilled:
Mt 1:22 Now all this was done, that it might be
fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
Mt 1:23
Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they
shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
Lu 2:7
And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes,
and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the
inn.
8) His being called Immanuel:
Isa 7:14
Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall

Mt 1:22 Now all this was done, that it might be

9a) Fulfilled:
Mt 2:1 ¶ Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of
Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east
to Jerusalem,
Lu 2:4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of
Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem;
(because he was of the house and lineage of David:)
Lu 2:5 To be taxed with
Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.
Lu 2:6 And so it was, that,
while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be
delivered.
10) Great persons coming to adore
him:
Ps 72:10 The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring
presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.
10a) Fulfilled:
Mt 2:1 ¶ Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of
Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east
to Jerusalem,
Mt 2:2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for
we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.
Mt 2:3 When
Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem
with him.
Mt 2:4 And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes
of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born.

2:5 And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by
the prophet,
Mt 2:6 And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not
the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that
shall rule my people Israel.
Mt 2:7 Then Herod, when he had privily called
the wise men, enquired of them diligently what time the star appeared.
Mt 2:8
And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young
child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come
and worship him also.
Mt 2:9 ¶ When they had heard the king, they departed;
and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came
and stood over where the young child was.
Mt 2:10 When they saw the star,
they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.
Mt 2:11 And when they were come into
the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and
worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto
him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.
11) The
slaying of the children of Bethlehem:
Jer 31:15 Thus saith the LORD; A
voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping; Rahel weeping
for her children refused to be comforted for her children, because they
were not.
11a) Fulfilled:
Mt 2:16 ¶ Then Herod, when he saw that he was
mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the
children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years
old and under, according to the time which he had diligently enquired of the
wise men.
Mt 2:17 Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the
prophet, saying,
Mt 2:18 In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and
weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would
not be comforted, because they are not.
12) His being
called out of Egypt:
Ho 11:1 ¶ When Israel was a child, then I
loved him, and called my son out of Egypt.
12a) Fulfilled:
Mt 2:15 And was there until the death of Herod:
that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
Out of Egypt have I called my son.
13) His being preceded
by John the Baptist:
Isa 40:3 ¶ The voice of him that crieth in the
wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a
highway for our God.
Mal 3:1 ¶ Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall
prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to
his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he
shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.
13a) Fulfilled:
Mt 3:1 ¶ In those days came John the Baptist,
preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,
Mt 3:3 For this is he that was spoken
of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness,
Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.
Lu 1:17 And he shall
go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the
fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make
ready a people prepared for the Lord.
14) His being
anointed with the Spirit:
Ps 45:7 Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest
wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness
above thy fellows.
Isa 11:2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him,
the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the
spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;
Isa 61:1 ¶ The Spirit of the
Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good
tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim
liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are
bound;
14a) Fulfilled:
Mt 3:16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up
straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he
saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
Joh 3:34
For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the
Spirit by measure unto him.
Ac 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of
Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and
healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with
him.
15) His being a Prophet like to Moses:
De
18:15 ¶ The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of
thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;
De 18:16
According to all that thou desiredst of the LORD thy God in Horeb in the day of
the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God,
neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.
De 18:17 And the
LORD said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have
spoken.
De 18:18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren,
like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them
all that I shall command him.
15a) Fulfilled:
Ac 3:20 And he shall send Jesus Christ, which
before was preached unto you:
Ac 3:21 Whom the heaven must receive until the
times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all
his holy prophets since the world began.
Ac 3:22 For Moses truly said unto
the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your
brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say
unto you.
16) His being a Priest after the order of
Melchizedek:
Ps 110:4 The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou
art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.
16a) Fulfilled:
Heb 5:5 So also Christ glorified not himself to
be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have
I begotten thee.
Heb 5:6 As he saith also in another place, Thou
art a priest for ever after the order of
Melchisedec.
17) His entering on his public
ministry:
Isa 61:1 ¶ The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me;
because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath
sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and
the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
Isa 61:2 To proclaim
the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort
all that mourn;
17a) Fulfilled:
Lu 4:16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had
been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the
sabbath day, and stood up for to read.
Lu 4:17 And there was delivered unto
him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found
the place where it was written,
Lu 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon
me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent
me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and
recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

4:19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
Lu 4:20 And he closed the
book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of
all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.
Lu 4:21 And he
began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

4:43 And he said unto them, I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities
also: for therefore am I sent.
18) His ministry commencing
in Galilee:
Isa 9:1 ¶ Nevertheless the dimness shall not be
such as was in her vexation, when at the first he lightly afflicted the
land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, and afterward did more grievously
afflict her by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, in Galilee of the
nations.
Isa 9:2 The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light:
they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light
shined.
18a) Fulfilled:
Mt 4:12 ¶ Now when Jesus had heard that John was
cast into prison, he departed into Galilee;
Mt 4:13 And leaving Nazareth, he
came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of
Zabulon and Nephthalim:
Mt 4:14 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken
by Esaias the prophet, saying,
Mt 4:15 The land of Zabulon, and the land of
Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the
Gentiles;
Mt 4:16 The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to
them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.
Mt 4:23
¶ And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching
the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of
disease among the people.
19) His entering publicly into
Jerusalem:
Zec 9:9 ¶ Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O
daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and
having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an
ass.
19a) Fulfilled:
Mt 21:1 ¶ And when they drew nigh unto Jerusalem,
and were come to Bethphage, unto the mount of Olives, then sent Jesus two
disciples,
Mt 21:2 Saying unto them, Go into the village over against you,
and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her: loose
them, and bring them unto me.
Mt 21:3 And if any man say
ought unto you, ye shall say, The Lord hath need of them; and straightway he
will send them.
Mt 21:4 All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which
was spoken by the prophet, saying,
Mt 21:5 Tell ye the daughter of Sion,
Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the
foal of an ass.
20) His coming into the temple:
Hag
2:7 And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and
I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts.
Hag 2:9 The glory
of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of
hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts.
Mal 3:1
¶ Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and
the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of
the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of
hosts.
20a) Fulfilled:
Mt 21:12 ¶ And Jesus went into the temple of God,
and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the
tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves,

And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the
child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law,
Lu 2:28 Then took he
him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said,
Lu 2:29 Lord, now lettest thou
thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word:
Lu 2:30 For mine eyes
have seen thy salvation,
Lu 2:31 Which thou hast prepared before the face of
all people;
Lu 2:32 A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy
people Israel.
Joh 2:13 And the Jews' passover was at hand, and Jesus went up
to Jerusalem,
Joh 2:14 And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep
and doves, and the changers of money sitting:
Joh 2:15 And when he had made a
scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and
the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables;

2:16 And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my
Father's house an house of merchandise.
21) His
poverty:
Isa 53:2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and
as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall
see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
21a) Fulfilled:
Mr 6:3 Is not this the carpenter, the son of
Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his
sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.
Lu 9:58 And Jesus said
unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son
of man hath not where to lay his head.
22) His
meekness and want of ostentatious:
Isa 42:2 He shall not cry, nor lift
up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street.
22a) Fulfilled:
Mt 12:15 But when Jesus knew it, he
withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed
them all;
Mt 12:16 And charged them that they should not make him
known:
Mt 12:19 He shall not strive, nor cry; neither shall any man hear his
voice in the streets.
23) His tenderness and
compassion:
Isa 40:11 He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall
gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and
shall gently lead those that are with young.
Isa 42:3 A bruised reed shall he
not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth
judgment unto truth.
23a) Fulfilled:
Mt 12:15 But when Jesus knew it, he
withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed
them all;
Mt 12:20 A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall
he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory.
Heb 4:15 For we have
not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities;
but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without
sin.
24) His being without guile:
Isa 53:9 And he
made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had
done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
24a) Fulfilled:
1Pe 2:22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found
in his mouth:
25) His zeal:
Ps 69:9 For the zeal of
thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee
are fallen upon me.
25a) Fulfilled:
Joh 2:17 And his disciples remembered that it was
written, The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up.
26) His
preaching by parables:
Ps 78:2 I will open my mouth in a parable: I will
utter dark sayings of old:
26a) Fulfilled:
Mt 13:34 All these things spake Jesus unto the
multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them:
Mt 13:35
That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open
my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the
foundation of the world.
27) His working
miracles:
Isa 35:5 ¶ Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the
ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.
Isa 35:6 Then shall the lame man
leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall
waters break out, and streams in the desert.
27a) Fulfilled:
Mt 11:4 Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and
shew John again those things which ye do hear and see:
Mt 11:5 The blind
receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf
hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to
them.
Mt 11:6 And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in
me.
Joh 11:47 Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council,
and said, What do we? for this man doeth many
miracles.
28) His bearing reproach:
Ps 22:6 But I
am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the
people.
Ps 69:7 Because for thy sake I have borne reproach; shame hath
covered my face.
Ps 69:9 For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and
the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me.
Ps 69:20
Reproach hath broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness: and I looked for
some to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I
found none.
28a) Fulfilled:
Ro 15:3 For even Christ pleased not himself; but,
as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on
me.
29) His being rejected by his brethren:
Ps 69:8
I am become a stranger unto my brethren, and an alien unto my mother's
children.
Isa 63:3 I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people
there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample
them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will
stain all my raiment.
29a) Fulfilled:
Joh 1:11 He came unto his own, and his own
received him not.
Joh 7:3 His brethren therefore said unto him, Depart hence,
and go into Judaea, that thy disciples also may see the works that thou
doest.
30) His being a stone of stumbling to the
Jews:
Isa 8:14 And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of
stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and
for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
30a) Fulfilled:
Ro 9:32 Wherefore? Because they sought it
not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that
stumblingstone;
1Pe 2:8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence,
even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also
they were appointed.
31) His being hated by the
Jews:
Ps 69:4 They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs
of mine head: they that would destroy me, being mine enemies wrongfully,
are mighty: then I restored that which I took not away.
Isa 49:7 ¶
Thus saith the LORD, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to him
whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers,
Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of the LORD that
is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel, and he shall choose
thee.
31a) Fulfilled:
Joh 15:24 If I had not done among them the works
which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and
hated both me and my Father.
Joh 15:25 But this cometh to pass, that
the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without
a cause.
32) His being rejected by the Jewish
rulers:
Ps 118:22 The stone which the builders refused is become
the head stone of the corner.
32a) Fulfilled:
Mt 21:42 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read
in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the
head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our
eyes?
Joh 7:48 Have any of the rulers or of the Pharisees believed on
him?
33) That the Jews and Gentiles should combine against
Him:
Ps 2:1 ¶ Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain
thing?
Ps 2:2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take
counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed,
saying,
33a) Fulfilled:
Lu 23:12 And the same day Pilate and Herod were
made friends together: for before they were at enmity between themselves.

4:27 For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both
Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were
gathered together,
34) His being betrayed by a
friend:
Ps 41:9 Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which
did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.
Ps 55:12 For
it was not an enemy that reproached me; then I could have borne
it: neither was it he that hated me that did magnify
himself against me; then I would have hid myself from him:
Ps 55:13
But it was thou, a man mine equal, my guide, and mine acquaintance.
Ps
55:14 We took sweet counsel together, and walked unto the house of God in
company.
34a) Fulfilled:
Joh 13:18 ¶ I speak not of you all: I know whom I
have chosen: but that the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eateth bread with
me hath lifted up his heel against me.
Joh 13:21 When Jesus had thus said, he
was troubled in spirit, and testified, and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you,
that one of you shall betray me.
35) His disciples
forsaking him:
Zec 13:7 ¶ Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and
against the man that is my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the
shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the
little ones.
35a) Fulfilled:
Mt 26:31 ¶ Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye
shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the
shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.
Mt 26:56 But
all this was done, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then
all the disciples forsook him, and fled.
36) His being

intensity of his sufferings:

mocked:

seeing corruption:
Ps 16:10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell;
neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

Ac 2:31 He seeing this before spake of the
resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh
did see corruption.
56) His resurrection:
Ps 16:10
For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One
to see corruption.
Isa 26:19 Thy dead men shall live, together
with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust:
for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the

62) The conversion of the Gentiles to
him:

elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he

Mt 1:17 So all the generations from Abraham to
David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away
into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into
Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.
Mt 1:21 And she shall

government:

righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee
with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
63a) Fulfilled:
Joh 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I
hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but
the will of the Father which hath sent me.
Re 19:11 ¶ And I saw heaven
opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called
Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make
war.
64) His universal dominion:
Ps 72:8 He shall
have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the
earth.
Da 7:14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom,
that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion
is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom
that which shall not be destroyed.
64a) Fulfilled:
Php 2:9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted
him, and given him a name which is above every name:
Php 2:11 And that
every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of
God the Father.
65) The perpetuity of his
kingdom:
Isa 9:7 Of the increase of his government and peace
there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to
order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth
even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
Da 7:14 And
there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people,
