The Tribulation Period

The Tribulation  is a seven year period prophesied in the Bible which culminates with the Battle of Armageddon and the coming again to earth of the Lord Jesus Christ. "For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be." (Matthew 24:21).   There are various interpretations of how and when this will take place, but we believe it will be after the Rapture, when all the Church is taken away to heaven and prior to the Millennial (1,000 year) Reign of Christ on earth.

It will be a time of terrible trouble on earth, but many will trust Christ during this period and be martyred for their faith.
" After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; ---  And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb." (Revelations 7:9,13,14).
